| On Sunday, April 15, 2007, four females were the victims of Forcible Touching, occurring in three separate incidents in the Belmont Community. Three of the victims were Fordham University students, and one was a guest. The first incident occurred at approximately 3:00 AM on Arthur Avenue between Fordham Road and E 189 Street. A female student was walking alone, was pushed, knocked down and grabbed by a male in front of 2495 Arthur Avenue. Our student was able to burn the assailant with her cigarette. He fled on foot northbound on Arthur Avenue. In the second incident, at about 3:30 AM, four females were walking back to campus on Hoffman Street, just north of Fordham Road. A male approached them from behind and asked if they spoke Spanish. He then fondled the genital area of one of the women, and brushed his hand across the posterior of a second. The male immediately fled on foot across Fordham Road, through the White Castle Parking Lot, and south on Lorillard Place. In the third incident, occurring approximately 10 minutes after the second, A male approached a female Fordham student and her guest as they were walking near the North West corner of Fordham Road and Arthur Avenue, and again asked if anyone spoke Spanish. He then groped the genital area of the guest, and immediately fled on foot. Fordham Security responded with NYPD and canvassed the area for the suspect, who was described as Male, between 20 and 30 years old, 5’6” tall, stocky build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and sneakers. He was clean shaven with short hair. The suspect was not located. NYPD Detectives responded and the incidents are being investigated. The contact phone number for the Detective Squad is 718 299 4119.
