Holding it down for Wantage, the Shire, is DJ Thundercat. You can find him spinning at the Cellar on the third Thursday of each month and serving as the production side of the duo DJ Thundercat and The Wise. He is a member of the Community League family, and sometimes lets everyone crash at his house. If your lucky, and are snooping around New Bedford, MA, you might even be able to pick up one of his stellar mixtapes at Solstice.
The future looks strong for Thundercat. Read more to learn more. Whats gwain'? Not much, at the day job. Describe your production style.
I love tracks with hot drums, something which i strive for on every track i make myself. If it has insane drum prgramming, chances are i'll love it - see Dangermouse, RJD2, Shadow etc. plus almost anything from Premo. aside from that, just great use of good samples or creative melodies. i also love old funky records and that kind of stuff, i've lost count of how many times i've listed to Product Placement. i dont think i could really put my finger on certain things that make a track good to me tho - i either like it or i dont, like most people i guess, but as long as it bangs or is good smoking music, im there. If you could produce for any rapper who would it be and why?
My lovely lady friend, Susie of course! 2nd place to that fine pole vaulting chick on your pages though, great cans! Damn, she could definately vault on my pole ya mean?!
Well I dont really follow boxing so i'd have to say the peoples champ: Frank Bruno!
Uhh, probably, yeah.
The question on everybody's lips! Ha ha! I dont know about that one, i'm sure he will bounce back soon. Maybe he's just waiting to be famous and get juiced by chicks everywhere?!
Will there be a Thundercuts V. III Maybe one day, never say never, right? At the moment tho its all about the beats, getting them up to scratch, learing and trying to grow more, get better, so dont expect to see TC3 anytime soon. |
