My name is Lourdes Castro, I am the daughter of former Cuban refugee's, was born and raised in the Washington DC area. I went to school at VCU in Richmond VA for Fashion Merchandising, interned at Triple 5 soul in 2004, graduated in May 05. Went on to spend some time in New Orleans before
moving to Brooklyn in October 2005. Been working for MOB a little over a year. I am in charge of the online shop and assist Leah with shipping out orders to all of the stores, and all other things MOB related.

Describe a typical day at Married to the Mob.

The days are always different, but things are never boring en la oficina de MOB. Leah is always busy with meetings and answering a million emails, and I'm usually on the phone arguing with shipping people. One time this horrible post office lady and Leah got into a huge fight, and she
threatened to put Leah in the grave. Um that lady ended up not doing too well... We always make time to check out the celebrity gossip though.

Who is your favorite member of the Wu-Tang Clan?

ODB was insane so he is my favorite for sure. I saw him at this one party shortly before he died. He got really dusted and then proceeded to get on the mic, made loud donkey noises, dropped his pants, fell down, and then his boys had to drag him off stage while the entire room was chanting his name. RIP Dirty!

Flip Flops: Yes or No.

Wearing flip flops on the streets of new york is never a good idea. And if I see a dude rockin flip flops thats defenitely a dealbreaker.

What is your favorite ice cream?

I prefer to eat beef sticks. Although if they came out with hotsauce flavored ice cream, i could prolly get down with that.

Would this pick up line work? "Hello, you look very nice; may I take you out for a slice of pie and a coffee so that I may learn more about your interests?" Why or why not?

A slice of pie and a coffee? That shits mad corny. I would laugh in his face. However this dude on my block did woo me with a 40 oz and his moms rice and beans.

Do you like your boss?

I love my boss! Leah is more than a boss for me, shes friends and family now. I interned for her for a while in the beginning of 06, and than went on to work for some pretty horrible bosses. It didnt take long before I was back working for her. We work well together, I cannot see myself happily working for anyone else at this time, and I hope I get to stay on
board for a very long time!

What is your personal favorite item from the MTTM collection?

Probably the Kaws bikini. Its nice when running through bushwick fire hydrants on hot summer days.

Who is the most famous person you know?

I dunno? I have Corey Feldmans phone number.

Why are Ugg boots popular?

I was unaware that people still rocked Uggs.

 How fast can you run a 5k?

In highschool I used to be really fast, running from teachers, cops and cabdrivers when I wasnt kicking ass in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse. These days I dont run as much as I should, but I could probably do it in 25 or 30 minutes.

Winter Olympics or Summer Olympics? Why?

In 5th grade we used to go outside at recess after this big ice storm and reenact Nancy kerrigan getting her ass beat. Tanya Harding was a crazy bitch! I loved that shit. I would probably watch the Winter Olympics more if they had some sort of scandal like that again.

 What trend bothers you the most?

I don't even know where to begin. But I will say this: Men please stop wearing tight jeans, I feel sick in the mornings when I ride the train and see that.

What will the future look like?

Who knows? Except maybe Sylvia Brown, or Miss Cleo.

Who will win the NBA championship?

I have not been following basketball this year, but if Ron Artest bugs out like he did during that pistons-pacers brawl in 2004, I will make sure to tune in.
